A new habitat program to support Upper Cowlitz basin salmon and steelhead recovery
The 2023 CRR Grant Program is closed!
Check back at the begining of 2024 for information on the next grant round!
The Cowlitz Restoration & Recovery (CRR) Program supports habitat projects in lieu of upstream volitional fish passage through the Cowlitz Hydroelectric Project.
This program is supported by a $17 million dollar program established by Tacoma Power Utilities to implement projects that protect and promote the recovery of ESA-listed Upper Cowlitz and Cispus River salmon and steelhead.
RSVP for the February 15 Grant Round Workshop and schedule pre-proposal meetings by contacting Steve West.
The Cowlitz Restoration & Recovery Program supports habitat projects in the Upper Cowlitz basin upstream of the Barrier Dam, and in the Lower Cowlitz mainstem river between its confluence with the Toutle River and the Barrier Dam.
